amd k6-2 500mhz

The ability to overclock is dependent on both the motherboard and processor. You should be able to overclock it a bit, but don't expect miracles... I got a K6-300 up to 366Mhz but it did have a few stability problems.

As for how, again, that's totally based upon your motherboard. Something that old might use jumpers.

It really depends on how good of a super 7 board you have. How it changes the FSB and the X and what kind of voltage settings it has!

I have an AMD K-6 333mhz, and it uses a little slab with a fan on top.. the fan is super tiny, has to be 40mm or smaller :/
I wouldn't try to overclock it one bit :P
Gets hot enough as is, lol.
Besides, the thing sounds like a f'ing bus when it's running.
It goes BRRRRRRRBBRRRRRRRCLUNKCLUNKBRRRRRCLUNKBRRRRRRRREEEERRRRRRRSSSCREEAACCHHHHBRRRRRRRCLUNKBRRCLUNK.
The only thing really on there that can make noise, is the CD drive, PSU, cpu fan... and that's it o.O well, and the HDD...
but uhm.
Like it was said.
Is it worth it? :P
Unless you're using it to practice on... Then that might be a good reason.
