Another Turbo-V idiot needs help plese.

I totally agree that the 2600k is a better buy if you have money or on a budget... but some people don't care

Indeed. Even if I had unlimited money I would spend it wisely. I would still go and build an uber computer with loads of wasted power, but I wouldn't waste the money on components if there are better parts for the same price or less.

Either way, the 990x is still a hell of a processor, even if it is expensive

$6200 for a PC??

Hello,I just built a super gaming computer, spent 6200.00 bucks on it. Well, i had it running beautiful for 2 days and this morening i decided to open the Turbo-V suit, and turn up the "dummy" OC way too high. When I hit 'apply" the computer froze, and i had to turn it off. Now when i start it up, i hear the initial single beep, then after a few seconds i hear a very fast double beep, and my screen remains BLACK, nothing.... ""system specs"mobo- Asus rampage 3 extreem, +++ intel 990x 6-core 3.46 extreem cpu+++ evga 580 water cooled copper block single bay video cards x2 in SLI, 16 gig Corsair ram ddr3 1000w kingwin PSU inside a thermaltake level 10 gt case with a custom water cooling system 120mm radiator, and a 240 mm radiator..... heeeeelp. =....(
I am guessing i need to reset the bios somehow, but since i cant see anything on the screen, it seems imposible. And i am not sure i would know how to reset it if i did. I can put a PC together, but when it comes to the software side i am a novice. Thanks to anyone who can help me here, i am sweating some serious bullets.

So you put this PC together and paid $6200??

So....based newegg.com pricing as of April 24, 2011
Intel 990X - 999.99
Asus Rampage III Extreme: 379.99
16GB corsair DDR3 Vengence (4x4GB - why run this on a triple channel chipset??????): 259.98
EVGA GTX 580 FTW Hydro Copper X2: 1399.98
Kingwin Lazer Gold 1000WATT ( assumed u didnt get the shitty mach 1): 229.99
Thermaltake level 10GT:269.99

Total: 3539.92

So Hardrives and water cooling hasnt been calculated since the parts were not mentioned, but how can you spend almost $2800 on those remaining parts.

Also, you want us to assume that you can purchase and assemble this advanced PC with watercooling and are incapable of resetting the bios of an ASUS ROG level product?????

I call shenanigans, or you seriously got ripped. I have built countless Gaming PCs based on highend ASUS motherboards, and pretty much anytime I EFF up an OC, the bios still posts with your settings and tell you that your OC failed....thats pretty much the reason why many choose ASUS at this level of PC....
