So I want to get my comp ready for D3.
Current setup
ASUS p5q-pro motherboard
intel core 2 duo e4300 1.8ghz processor 65nm LGA 775
nvidia geforce 9800gtx graphics
4 gigs pc2-6400 ddr2 ram
Rosewill Stallion Series RD500-2DB PS
Im going to assume (hope) that my mobo and graphics card will suffice, but what I want to upgrade is my cpu to an i7 quad core 3.0+ processor. such as
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819115130
Also throw in around 8 gigs of some ddr2? such as
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...&name=8GB (2 x 4GB)&Order=PRICED&Pagesize=100
Will I need to upgrade my PS?
I know enough about computers to figure out my specs and such, but when it comes to 45 65 32nm, core duo quad core, 2x 4gb or 4x 2gb I get lost...
Honestly I just want to be able to play Diablo 3 without having to spend more than 500.. which I know is possible.
Maybe the links I threw up are overkill (I have no idea), but Id rather spend an extra 100-200 to get something that will last for a couple years.
The desktop I have is 3-5 years old -cant remember exactly- at this point but I think the majority of components inside are good enough..
let me know what can be done!
thanks
