lol no my neighbors have no respect. they let their kids run on my lawn and throw garbage. i am putting nails down where they run
 
This girls parents sent her to my place for the next 3 weeks, she is a pain in the arse, she keeps downloading stuff from the internet: She downloaded this program called mIRC, its probably incompatible with my PC and keeps freezing it, I told her that but she downloaded it behind my back, my PC froze and I was stuck uninstalling, she did it again the next day, not to mension the ice-cream wrap I found under the desk and the molten chocholate I found on the keyboard that smells like ice-cream now, I'm going to put I password to it now.
 
lock down the whole computer. just password windows and when she starts crying like a little girl tell her, i told you, but you didnt listen, now you dont have to go on the computer

Thats the thing, I'm trying to find out how to put a password.
 
Start>Control Panel>User Accounts>Change An Account>Your Name> Create A Password

then just log out when your done, and make sure you do the same thing in Safemode and set an Admin's password.. and even set a boot password though your BIOS so she cant turn it on

Tragic?? i built a computer, it was awesome, i got alot of great parts for free from people, put it together, it was awesome... then i found out.... damn, this thing actully sucks

Anyone in this country will know that they Famously went bust about a year ago, closed down all stores and let all the staff go. Pretty gutting for my mate as him and his wife were expecting their first child....not a good time to lose your job.

Well he and a couple of other managers were kept on for an extra month and given the task of touring round various closed down shops in the country to collect the point of sale items....basically branded advertising stuff.

They were given a van and were told that every store they were going to had been emptied of all stock.

Upon arriving at the first shop they found that the complete systems had been removed but loads of other stuff remained...barebone systems, lcd monitors, various hardware parts such as GPU's, memory, optical drives, hard drives.....a veritable aladdins cave for your average pc person.

So they checked again with head office to confirm all stock had been removed and nothing of any value was left within the stores.....all confirmed.

Well you can imagine what came next, a month of the three of them touring shops picking up anything they could get their hands on. By they time they had finished my mate had literally boxes full of computer components.

So much so that I picked up a centrino laptop and a damn nice computer system complete with 15"lcd monitor and Epson R200 printer all for the bargain price of £150 :D

The reast was sold on ebay or to various other people and for the time during which he was unemployed he was able to support his expectant family and treat a few friends in the meantime :)



For anyone cosidering this as a bit fraudulent please understand the situation. Those who know of the collapse of "the computer shop" and Time computers will know just how ugly it was and how out of order the owners were, no warning, no pay off, and talk of no final wage. The owners however are still trading using the time name and are known to have got away with a stupid amount of money so personally I think it was all fair in the end ;)

Nice to know, sort of, that kind of crap didn't happen only in the US at that time... A funny movie that involves this exact situation is "Fun with Dick and Jane" Rent it if you have the time :)...
 
one time i was in the basement playing duke nukem 3D on my old win95 machine with my cousin and and where on the last level about to fight that guy on the football field when my computer goes on the B.S.D, now im only 8 and this scared the crap outta me! i start freaking out! "mom mom i broke the new computer! I'm so sorry please don't punish me!!!" and i start crying and she's like ctrl-alt-del......PWNED

p.s. i loved fun with dick and jane!
