I have the ASUS7n266-C motherboard with the Athlon 2000 XP processor. Would it be possible for me to put the Athlon 2400XP processor in and have it work?

um did a search for 333 FSB......

It's actually 166MHz x 2 = 333MHz effective.

So, the correct FSB for the Athlon XP 2000 and 2400 is 133MHz (x 2 = 266MHz effective).

. 1. No such thing as 333fsb....

ok im not one to argue with Praetor, partially becuase hes always right :D , but your telling me that if i have a computer operating with a FSB of 333 Mhz that its not really running at that rate???

uh...seems like its already answered. A 333 BUS is a 166FSB with 2 transmissions per clock

What you'll find on NewEgg is for all intents and purposes, advertisements. Marketers know people go for the bigger number and that FSB/BUS is a common error so they usually make a tactical error and state something like FSB800 for Pentium4s or something when its really FSB200. Another common site that gets FSB wrong is TomsHardware

Cease this mono-syllable and single-sting crap.

Correct. Its not actually operating at that ... the clock is 133MHz but since it can do two operations per pulse, its effectively DDR266

:)
