what other components are you planning on running?
one 4870x2 is more than enough for anything you can throw at it currently, having two of them in crossfire is just a waste of money IMHO.
I thought it was a 260 X2![]()
Lol it's not GTX 280x2 GTX 295s cores are identical to those of a GTX 260 and Stream processors (240) for each core equal those of a GTX 280 also insted of the 65 nm cores they shrinked them to 55 nm cores which reduces power requirements
Nah its a GTX 280x2
You could run one HD 4870 X2 for sure, but I'm not sure that an 850 Watt power supply can support all of those parts, plus 2 HD 4870 X2's. You may be able to, but you'd need two 6 pin connectors, and two 8 pin.
Nah its a GTX 280x2
It is funny how you guys are arguing about the 260 280 and the 295gtx cards. Anyways since you guys are arguing a lot about the card do you think it is better for me to get a 295 card instead of the 4870x2????
I don' want to spend more than 600 dollars on the card.
Thanks
Funny? I don't see anything funny in the previous posts...
The topic of the thread is the 4870X2, not the GTX 295. I'd like to apologize to the OP. I have a terrible habit of threadjacking.![]()
