AMD Streaming Audio DeviceWhat is listed under sound, video and game controllers in device manager? Sounds like you don't have the correct sound driver installed.
The strange thing is that now the red x is not there. Sometimes it appears and sometimes it doesn't.Need a little more information. What specific motherboard do you have if this is a custom built pc or what model of pc do you have if this is store bought?
I don't think the driver software is correctly installed, I think the following is what they should actually say.
AMD Streaming Audio Device should say AMD High Definition Audio or AMD HDMI Audio This will be the hdmi port on the video
High Definition Audio Device should say something more specific Would need more information on the vendor and device id numbers.
Realtek Audio should say something more specific. This is most likely the onboard audio but would need the vendor and device id numbers.
What device are you using for sound output? You can find this out by right clicking on the speaker icon down by the clock and click on sounds then the playback tab. Check to see what has the green checkmark on it.
DellI need you to answer those questions I asked. Either what motherboard you have or what model of pc so we can verify what drivers you need.
It found 1 driver update, that was available and I downloaded itTry going here and do the driver update automatically. I'm only finding 32bit drivers on dell site for the audio.
Click on the check for updates box and follow what it says.
