AVG Or Avast?

Which one is better! I'm not going to count what people say so I'm just going to post a poll :p. I need to no which one to get so I can have a good anti virus! I already got a anti spyware :p.

EDIT: Crap I need to edit the poll? I dont no how though! It's supposed to be AVG or AVAST not avira!

I went with Avast. I find it's free version way more effective and less hogging than AVG's crap free version.

I like Avast so much that I got it for my U3 drive so I can more easily scan computers at work :)

i have never used AVG, but i am so extremely satisfied with avast that i will never use anything else... that is, until they start charging for it. its just a matter of time :(

AVG. Ive used Avast before and I didnt like it very much couldnt get rid of a virus that I had so I installed AVG and it got rid of it.

Yes Avast may work fine but I think I saw that AVG has a higher security rating than Avast does I used AVG for a while and loved it it blocked everything and anything that would try to get into my computer.

if used with a control program like Windows care advanced free edition you can have a fast computer with very little work involved

Personally, I don't use any Anti-Virus software. But that's because I'm careful and don't do anything that warrants me getting a virus. Most people are stupid. Duh, if you go to porn sites of course you're going to get a virus. Also, most people get them from Limewire. People, if you notice that a song you want is only 150KB, I'm pretty sure it's NOT the song you're thinking it is.

When I fix someone's computer though, I use AVG. I've never tried Avast, so I'm not arguing, but I've just liked AVG enough that I haven't looked into anything else.

I don't think they are stupid, they just don't have the knowledge to be able to decide what you should or shouldn't be downloading. It only comes with experience. For the average user I always suggest getting an Anti-Virus. AVG is the best out of the 2.

Why do people call Avira 'AVG'? but anyway to those that say i dont use an anti-virus because im the best and i am smart, People could use Anti-Virus's to experiment with programs they have not seen before without the experimenters you wont get recomendations or reviews so they could be smart? Also when you browse the internet you get tracking cookies on your computer Anti-Virus(s) clean them. Still though i have to agree with you on some of the things if you download anything just use VirusTotal but that wont scan your HDD for viruses :p

EDIT: Or just a thought use LINUX :p

It's either called Security Center or Total Protection..has everything from anti-virus to firewall. Great software, highly recommend it!

Why not just use COMODO? Has the same features and it uses the features well. + its free.
