thats what im using, i wanna convert my home movies to a dvd format so they can be playd in most todays dvd players....any of you use this program... also wich format would be better vcd, dvd, or svcd

easiest thing to do would be to convert them to vcd or svcd and get a dvd player that supports them (the majority do so you likely have a compatible one already), as far as converting to actual dvd format, you should search the forum, I think it's talked about every other week on average

i got it all figured out, i went out and bought nero 7 ultra edition, works like a charm

the easiest program to convert avi to dvd and burn them onto dvd is dvd santa

burning AVI as DVD yeah? i cant manage to do it with my Nero, for some reason it just freezes on me everytime. Do i need a special program/codec?

just get a dvd player which plays divx and avi files, most gud ones have this facitiliy nowadays

you can use VsoDivxToDvd or Avi2Dvd to convert the movie
