I am currently a high school student preparing to attend Cornell Engineering next year with plans to go into Aerospace and Electrical engineering. I will not have a desktop and want a laptop powerful enough to suit all my needs. Pretend money is not an issue (within reason).
I need to know what the best laptop on the market is for the following factors:
* GRAPHICS CARD (I want the most powerful graphics card I can get my hands on. I want to be able to run modern games on it well for the next 4 years. Probably a 980m)
*Build Quality
*16+ gb of ram
*ssd for boot, dont care about size
*hard drive for files, at least 500 gb
*fast enough processor (i dont know much about laptop processors)
*Good screen
*Usable keyboard
Factors I really don't care about:
*screen size as long as its at least 15 inches
*Original operating system
*Battery Life, i can always buy an extra battery
* "Extras" that come with the computer
* Heating
Factors that would be nice but don't make a huge difference:
* Replaceable battery
* Repair-ability
*The ability to take a video input to the screen
*Ascetics XD
What would you recommend? My budget is around $2,500.
