Best Gaming Laptop to Replace Desktop

I am currently a high school student preparing to attend Cornell Engineering next year with plans to go into Aerospace and Electrical engineering. I will not have a desktop and want a laptop powerful enough to suit all my needs. Pretend money is not an issue (within reason).

I need to know what the best laptop on the market is for the following factors:

* GRAPHICS CARD (I want the most powerful graphics card I can get my hands on. I want to be able to run modern games on it well for the next 4 years. Probably a 980m)
*Build Quality
*16+ gb of ram
*ssd for boot, dont care about size
*hard drive for files, at least 500 gb
*fast enough processor (i dont know much about laptop processors)
*Good screen
*Usable keyboard

Factors I really don't care about:
*screen size as long as its at least 15 inches
*Original operating system
*Battery Life, i can always buy an extra battery
* "Extras" that come with the computer
* Heating

Factors that would be nice but don't make a huge difference:
* Replaceable battery
* Repair-ability
*The ability to take a video input to the screen
*Ascetics XD

What would you recommend? My budget is around $2,500.

I'm looking at an Asus G752 right now, new i7 Skylake cpu, ddr4 ram (up to 64gb), 980m, 2 x M.2 (RAID capable), 17" ips panel, usb 3.1, thunderbolt, blu ray...etc etc..

Also, some of the MSI are pretty slick,

That's not a laptop, that's a desktop with a built-in display! That much be extremely large and heavy.

If you want a straight up REPLACEMENT for ANY desktop, here you go.

It's an MSI GT80S with two- TWO -980ms in SLI. It's the ONLY laptop in the world with a FULLY mechanical keyboard, and, guess what- they're genuine Cherry MX Browns. You can customize the crap out of this thing on the XoticPC website, with up to four SSDs in RAID 0. It's hitting up this dimension with a shiny new Intel i7-6820HK CPU and up to 64 GB of RAM. But, it weighs ten pounds and costs 3300 USD.

So, if you want a good, solid laptop that will last you for a long time to come- that you can also carry with you comfortably (I say this with a little lenience), check this guy out.

It's from Gigabyte, a very reliable company prided on their awesome build quality. It has your 980m with an overkilled 8GB of GDDR5 and a very nice little fast 5700HQ CPU. It's got an SSD with your OS pre-installed as well as your 1 TB HDD for stuff. And, guess what? This little puppy is under 1900 USD.

P.S.
The Gigabyte laptops are always a little bland, so if you want some more "flashiness," check out the Aorus x7 Pro. It's actually a subsidiary company of Gigabyte, so you still get their fantastic build quality, and it looks HELLA better.
Hope this helps. PEACE.
