What is wrong with Windows? It is a great OS. Not just because everything is compatible but because you can do so much with it. I would only really consider using two OSs and those are Windows (mostly 2000, XP and up) and OSX(If I had a Mac....) but I see no point in getting a different OS unless you are running short of money and can't afford Windows. I think its just because Microsoft is a big company and nobody likes the big companies except other big companiesim getting sick of windows

Those are real easy for installing Linux. Linux is also very universally compatible (device-wise). The exceptions to this are devices that require third party drivers in Windows XP (in every instance I've witnessed). Companies tend to not supply special drivers for Linux due to lack of any financially substantial repercussion. No company is going to see a 20% drop in profit if their products don't support Linux.shupola said:do you know about non-SATA drives?
