I got that, but after updating DirectX through the Microsfot website, it worked fine. Are you sure you updated it from their site, or just from a recently download DirectX patch...?
 
I got it working.... Now it wont let me connect to the main server??
Is the demo done, seeing how the full game is coming out soon? or are other people having the same problems?
 
Others are having similar trouble yes. If you just want to run around and check the game out try starting your own server. This is how I checked it out. I was able to create my own server and password protect it so I would not be disturbed :).
 
I downloaded and it took 1 hour ( I was pretty happy) I installed it (less than 10 min) and I restarted my comp. I started the game after closing some annoying and lag full applications and when I finally joined a server IT LAGS LIKE....... IT LAGS SO MUCH I CANT EVEN MOVE TOWARD...ANYWHERE.

I went to my friends house (he has a way better computer) and it was still laggy. I dont know but I will try with my new comp and if it doesnt work. OH WELL Besides that the new weaps look pretty cool
 
It might not be your computer, but the connection to the server. Try to join a server with the lowest ping.
