Bioshock Settings

If you take a look at BOTH his PC's I'd say he's rich. Those rigs are worth a ton.

They sure are...... It makes one wonder

Bradan has a 1950pro at those settings. Obviously Kornowski's 7950Gt should be able to hit 1280 x 1024 everything maxed including the AA and AS settings, If not higher.. Do you have the ATI Bioshock Beta drivers Bradan?

I have it at 1280 x 1024 and everything turned all the way up, I get 40FPS, but every now and again, it'll drop all the way down and lag, and then be fine, what's with this!?

 Wow, what a difference!

Constant 40FPS, full everything @ 1280 x 1024! :D

Thanks a lot hermeslyre, I really owe it to you! :)

It sometimes goes up to 55 too, drops to 20 only sometimes, it's great! Looks fanstastic, I'll upload some screenshots sometime, When I'm not playing! :P

The Big Daddies are Ok you know they just protect the little sisters, you feel sorry for them when they die and the girl starts to cry "Mr.Bubbles, No, please come back" :( lol

I run it at 1024 x 768 I'm prefering to play it sat away from the screen on a couch I'm getting very smooth performance 24-40fps. The AA is set to application controlled and the drivers is set to performance with multi threading enabled.

All the options are set to full in graphics and sound.

2x AMD Opteron 2GHZ
2GB DDR 3200
6800GT 256MB 435mhz
Audigy 2 ZS sound card

How do you disable and enable multi-threading?

Anyway, thanks to hermeslyre I'm now getting like 40 - 60FPS with everything on full @ 1280 x 1024, thanks again dude! :)

AFAIK it doesn't need to be, Bioshock automatically takes advantage of dual and quad cores.

No problem danny. Have a blast man! :D

In Nvidia control panel you can enable multi threading so the second CPU takes care of some of the graphics for none multithreaded games. I got it enabled for all games I might disable it seeing as BioShock is coded for two processors anyway see if the performance is worse or bad. Having multithreading enabled in drivers might be messing with Bioshocks threading.
Your specs are miles more than what you need to run this game in 1600 x 1200 resolution the game will get cropped to run on a widescreen though widescreen gamers are waiting for the makers to bring out a patch to give them a widescreen aspect ratio rather than croping the graphics to fit.
