Sir, I've had about 5 laptops to date, and all but one has borders around the screen when I enter the BIOS or boot Windows.
And I've had two LCDs as well. They both did this, but I found a setting in them that was called auto-zoom or something like that which would expand the resolution across the whole screen.
Newer LCDs may have this set by default, however.
Overscan fixes the desktop issue, but not the splash screen or motherboard menu
I still call that normal, because of the smaller resolution that the BIOS and splash screen uses.
Would changing the windows splash screen image to an image with a higher resolution fix this issue?
never underestimate the power of ocd
im not OP though, i was just curious.
