Blue Screens and Program Crashes - HELP

i dunno, but maybe css does not like newer cards, it is an old game now, try newer and old drivers for your graphics card. Also try reinstalling firefox, if that dont work than try a different browser. Did you try seatools?
 
yeah seatools went ok, and if cs were the only problem, I would just deal with the occasional issue, I'm more worried about the big problem. It just seems like an overall system issue somehow, maybe it's windows, but I don't know enough about this stuff to say that.
 
If i was there i would test the PSU with multimeter and check all the bios settings, but if your computer passes prime, i dont think its a hardware issue, unless it was a HDD issue which it deos not seem to be. The last thing i would do is new windows.
 
prime covered it. You still should make sure that all the setting are right tho, to make sure you are get the most out of your pc. e.g recently built a computer for a client that had kingston 1600 ddr3 hyperx, but i runs at lower default SPD speed and needs manualy setting to 1600.

The computer runs great other than this issue so far.

Someone pointed out that my motherboard is not natively compatible with ddr3 1600 ram, so unless my friend set it right after we built the computer, it might not be set correctly, does that sound like something that would cause somewhat system wide issues that only occur sometimes like this?

on a side note, that's why I instructed my dad that building was a good idea for me, but building one for him was probably not the best route.

my "memory clock speed" was set to auto at 1333 in bios, I changed it to 1600, tried to start firefox, it tried to do something that needed permission, i said yes, it crashed, the blue screen.

edit: after the blue screen I restarted, everything is ok as of now, I exited bios and let the computer start, I didn't turn it off and on after, it bluescreened, then I restarted with power button
