board support 1.75 volts to cpu?

Will this board support the 1.75 volts that my old 1.7 Ghz celeron will need? I have heard that for this sorta problem that I had with my other board, that i purchased which did not support the voltage, that the intel 865PE chipset was the best for supporting this kindof voltage. The only reason im questioning it is becuase the manufacturers web site says nothing about supporting celeron processors....

Im sure you can afford to wait more than one minute before promting us for an answer. We don't live here ;)

The processor's supported (provided it's core fits within the Northwood family ... if its a Whillimette-class Celeron than it prolly isnt supported)
 
it wasnt one minute, more like 12 hours, but eh, yeah getting ready to order the board for this beast, hehe, and if its a 1.7 Celeron with a 1.75 voltage then that pretty much sums it up as being a Whillimette core....what board supports the Whillimette core anyhow, seems like a boardless core..... :(

i did look into it, but after i got the board, it was free so i didnt think to look, plus how often does this happen! lol :P
 
i got my hands on an ABIT VI7 and it didnt support the 1.75 core voltage to the cpu.....

What good is a free board if you cant use it?
 
well do you think it will support the CPU i have or not....im wanting to order the board here very shortly :confused:



lol nm i just ordered it, i guess ill let you guys know by trial and error :D

1. Well the manual doesnt mention anything about CPU voltages. Not a good sign
2. Why would you want an ECS board to start with. Another not to good sign.
3. Why not get one of the Abit boards that we've already predetermined to support 1.75v
4. Probably not
 
thats not good i already ordered it, and it should be coming tommorow.....well ive been told by like all the people in my computer electronics class that the Intel 865 PE chipset is like the god of supporting gay voltages...so i guess ill have to find out the hard way :(
 
ok so i got the board and it will not POST...i dont get any video or anything....which is the same thing that happened with that ABIT board....the funny thing is in the product manual where it shows the BIOS screen about PC Health, there is an option to change the Vcore too three different settings including 1.5v, 3.3v, and 5v so if there is a way to change the voltage then there must be a way to get it to 1.75v right....im having a really hard time finding a board for this 1.8Ghz Willamette Celeron....please help solve this problem any help is appreciated :confused:
