Thanks for replying to my other comp build guys i got tones of useful info from your replys:D!, im just building one for my bro at the moment im not to sure on some of the parts:( but if i could get your help that would b awesome

Q6600 2.4ghz
XFX NFORCE 680i or 780i --> money is a concern but i dont really see any big differences between these boards.
PSU Silverstone 500w Strider--> i think itll run on a 500w psu
2x2gb Corsair ddr2 800
Antec 900 Gaming Case
Asus 22inch LCD
Leadtek 8600gt 512mb DDR3---> not to sure on vid card either but i can get it really cheap
Standard mouse,kboard, and dvd drive
750gb Sata 16mb harddrive

What is your budget???

What is the use of the computer mainly for?
 
the budget is around $1500 but its australian. With them parts i posted above it sits around 1400-1500.

He'll be using for moderate gaming(counter strike, wow) but none of the new games

OK.... maybe a different Motherboard, and the 8800GT for the video card otherwise i think it should be good...

what OS?
 
Will you run SLi set-up?
If no, just get a cheap P35 Mobo.
If yes, you'd probably get a more powerful PSU, like 650W - 700W

For GPU, 8600GT DDR3 is not really a good gaming card.
Get a 9600GT/ 8800GT 512MB

Yeah i was thinking of getting a 8800GT instead..

What motherboard would use recommend instead of the 680i?

It wont be using SLI
