Build parts

What sort of games is he intending to play?
Does he need an OS?

It is a very tight budget for gaming. :/
 
He understands this and he will run games on low settings and won't be running games like crysis and cod.
 
Okay does he need an Operating system? because windows 7 that's like £73 on its own.

Amazing build.
Man stuff is expensive in UK. :D
This will also run games like crysis and COD but not maxxed out.

And if your friend also need a monitor in that budget then it is going to be really hard since 300GBP for a gaming tower itself is difficult to build.But Shane here has done an amazing job. :good:
 
Ive just noticed i had not put in a hard drive for that build,So thats another cost to add,Unless Mark4_4 your friend can use the Harddrive from his current pc and use it for this new build.

How about trying out the 500W Builder series PSU.
and 1333MHz memory.That will lower the prices.
Don't know much about prices in UK.
Still the build would be worth the difference and the HD5830 is a great card.

I did not need a super one because I do not play very many high graphic games.
I play minecraft Oblivion morrowind and fallout. and a couple of steam games.
