If you're going sli with the geforce 8 series then you'll need more than the corsair or the hiper, something around 850 watts with at least 50 amps

Just saying: Be more specific, an 8600 wouldn't need 850W or even 50A...

Maybe 700W with 50+ A...

well my 700 has been running this system just fine. normally I run at 3.75GHz
with my 8800 running 713/1654/2300. I have yet to have any issues with the system in my sig.

700 is fine... but when you start overclocking and GTX/Ultra SLi'ing.. then it gets different

lol personally I just wanted to post my build information, as well as my final build pics (link in my sig) and get some input on it. So far all ppl seem to be talking about is SLi & PSU's lol.


700 is more than enough for a single GPU solution, even with OC'ing I am topping out at 3.9GHz (1.5000v)with my highly OC'ed GPU I am only drawing 570 watts (watt-meter)

I don't know why ppl keep talking about SLi, lol. I said I was not interested in SLi, thus the non-SLi MB. I am using. Sli just never interested me. Not enough performance for the buck...yet... Though the new 8800GT's look nice.
