Do I just start intsalling software and drivers?
what should I do next?

I'm pretty sure, just stick your operating system disc into the CD tray and reboot and it should boot off the disc and install.
 
Are you upgrading or building from scratch? I remember in my class when my instructor installed Vista, he reformatted the hard drive during the installation.

Thats something that you'll have to decide when you start the installation process. Here is a walkthrough and here is another


Since you're doing things from scratch you'll have no choice but to format -- try it -- you'll see :)
