First, I want to introduce myself since I'm new to this forum. I'm just a regular PC gamer that knows a bit about technology and has built some PCs already. Now back to the question.
Recently, with my old PC slowly dying and new awesome games coming out(Battlefield 3), I've decided to sum up a couple of bucks and build my Gaming PC that will serve me without any upgrades for 2 years to come. Now these are my parts:
CPU: Intel i7 2600k
Motherboard: Asus P8P67 Pro
RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB)
GPU: Asus GeForce GTX 570
Storage: 2TB western digital 7200RPM black
Optical Drive: Samsung SH223
Case: Fractal Design R3
PSU: Corsair CMPSU-850HX 850 Watt
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Now i have a couple of questions:
1. Are all those parts compatible with each other? I'm pretty sure they are but would like you guys to confirm that.
2. Will this machine be able to play all the upcoming games at full graphics with no lag?
3. Is it better to have one big hard drive (2TB), or two smaller ones (2 x 1TB). Are SSDs worth it?
4. I am planning to overclock the i7 2600k to around 4.5 Ghz.What custom AIR cooling would you recommend for cooling that? Up to 50 bucks.
Thanks for any answers guys(and girls).
