Hello! I'm about to build my first computer since 1998, and would like some input.

Is everything compatible? Is there anything else I can do? Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks guys.

1000W is major overkill. Your efficiency will drop drastically.

The 680i is a horrible motherboard. No 45nm support, and outdated. Go with the 780i or X38.

The 8800GTX gets pwnd by the 8800GTS G92. And the GTS G92 is CHEAPER. Go with the MSI 8800GTS G92 @ Newegg.com

The E6850 is a huge waste IMO. Go with the Q6600 G0 @ ClubIT or E8400 @ Newegg.

The 9500 is "as loud as a jet engine"...

And the RAM is HUGELY overpriced.

Remember, he being a beginner, include the G92 part ;) There are plenty of "GTS's" out there
