Building PC. Need help!

I would lose the Rosewell power suppIy. The RAM I suggested is faster and the same price as the RAM you picked. You also have selected no hard drive.

Take a look at these components:

Patriot Viper 4 gigabytes (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) RAM - $80

OCZ OCZ700GXSSLI GameXStream 700 Watt Power Supply - $90

Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500 gigabyte Hard Drive - $57

850W gamexstream is almost as cheap and leaves alot more upgrade room.

Patriot is made in Taiwan as is G.Skill. Patriot is a U.S. corporation however.

Patriot sold out and went overseas? No surprise like all manufacturers seem to be doing presently. Super Talent RAM is still assembled in the U.S.A. isn't it?

Yeah I added a 850 watt for $110.

Another question, does my mobo come with standoffs?
Or do I need to buy them seperate...

They have limited manufacturing facilities in the united states, but as far as i know all of their DDR3 is produced overseas. No idea with super talent, i would assume theirs is also made in Taiwan however, due to the price of the memory and also that most ddr3 manufacturing is overseas.

The other problem i have with patriot at the moment, is the memory runs at a bit higher voltage than comparable memory, and doesnt overclock nearly as well.

And standoffs come with the case.

I was just looking at pictures of Super Talent RAM packages. It still says "Made in the U.S.A." on them. I assume some of the manufacturing is still done here in the U.S.A. for Super Talent. Patriot memory should change their name to "Tawain Patriot" now. :)

Ok thanks everyone. I haven't really heard of Super Talent. Is it any good?

And I guess I'll rule Patriot out if it has some higher voltage.

G-Skill it is! Unless someone tells me otherwise:D

Well, at least they arent moving their corporation to countries that are tax havens, and still are based here.

The 850W he is adding i would assume is the GameXStream 850W that i gave in a link to in a different thread. only $119 and $99 after rebate, cant beat it for the quality, power, and price.

Alright great. I think I'm set on this build.

Thanks to everyone that helped me out:good:

P.S. One last minute question...

Will I need any extra cables, hardware, or anything else of that nature?
Or do the parts come with everything needed to run.

Also, will everything just 'work' when put into the machine?
How will I install software?
I heard you have to do something with BIOS maybe...
Not really sure how to access that though haha.

Thanks

I'm going to bookmark that link. I'm going to need it:)

And I would download the drivers from the companies website? Like amd.com for the video drivers?

Alright cool.
I guess by now you have realized that I'm not very computer savvy:D

My final question would be...

For which pieces of hardward will require new drivers. I'm aware that the ATI 4890 will, but what else besides that?

You would want to download the latest drivers for all your components:

GPU- AMD.com
Network- Motherboard Manufacturer
Audio- Motherboard Manufacturer
Chipset- Motherboard Manufacturer

Those are the major drivers you will need.
