Yup, a good deal can make up your mind for you.
I couldn't decide between an HP zd8000 the Dell i9300 and also the Battalion G-600 II

The deal, made me completely turn to dell.

Anyway, lokod... , what decision have u came up with?

1) What about that refurbished one?
2) Is that a better graphics card? or is 64 mb not enough?
3) Is it better than the one I first posted? The one above had 128 mb dedicated grpahics card but it was intergrated... so which is better?

Here are some quick facts about it:
AMD® Athlon™ 64 processor 3400+ with PowerNow!™

Memory
1024MB DDR SDRAM (2 x 512MB) at 333MHz Maximum memory 2048MB DDR SDRAM (2 x 1024MB)

Graphics card
NVIDIA® GeForce™ 4 440 Go with 64MB DDR dedicated)

Hard drive
100GB (4200 rpm) Hard Drive [gigabyte is defined as 1,000,000,000 bytes, accessible capacity may vary]

OK, first of all, i only got a 1 year warranty (ya, i think i should have went with more) the 100gb 5400rpm drive (make sure u didn't go with the 60gb 7200) the pm 1.6 (equal to 2.8-3.0 p4 so it should handle everything) no security software (already have norton) make sure that u go with 512mb ram because the 140 is outragous for an upgrade price. os is xp home. put in the 40% off coupon once it is in your cart, and it should go down to around what mine is. but make sure if u want to buy that u buy before tommarow.

im stuck between the i9300 or the 600m

Which processor is better?
Intel® Pentium® M Processor 730 (1.60 GHz/2MB Cache/533MHz FSB)
or
Pentium® M Processor 755(2 GHz/400MHz FSB) 14.1-in XGA w/32MB Video

And which video card (is it a big difference?) is the best (from least to greatest)
128MB ATIs™ Mobility Radeon™ X300 [subtract $80]

256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800 Incredible Graphics

DDR ATI MobilityTM RADEONTM 9000 AGP 4X

ok, the 2ghz pm is better, the 6800 blows the others out of the water, and that X300, isn't worth it on the i9300, if u are going with that one, save urself some money and get the i6000. the 9000 is barely above integrated.

ok well I can get 1 GB hardive on the i600 for 1,182 while the other is 1,281. (both with pro)

The only thing I am debating on is whether its better to go with the i9300 and take a hit in the processor or to go with 600m and take a hit in the video card. Is the proccessor difference a big difference?

Also I believe the 600m does not come with a wireles card while the i9300 does, correct?

Also is the processor for the 19300 better than the AMD on the HP?

where do you read to get your information from? the 9000 has an extremely good gpu. i get a max of 300 fps in cs 1.6

alanuofm which would you recommend? Is the processor on the 600m alot better than one on the i900? and will the graphics on the 600m stack up to the i900 and does the size of the video card matte?

OK, here we go:
three models are:
i9300
i6000
600M

gpus:
9300's geforce go 6800 by far the best
6000's ati X300 pretty good for games
600m's ati 9000 will work for games, but won't play them very good.

i am going with comparing them with new games.

ok based on previous threads i assume you are comparing the 600m to the 9300.
the 9300 has a faster bus speed but it is not a big difference. the 9300 uses ddr2 but it has not been shown that ddr2 is much faster than ddr. ddr2 runs at a higher bandwidth but at the cost of added latency. the geforce 6800 on the 9300 is of course a lot better than the radeon 9000 on the 600m. personally i own an inspiron 9100 and the 600m. i like the 600m because it is portable. my 9100 is like a sitting duck. i am able to get 300 fps on my inspiron 600m and it performs well in various other games such as cs source. the 600m to me is more of a "laptop" as opposed to the bulky 9300. but if you don't carry your laptop around much then the 9300 would be an excellent choice.

6800 > 9000 > X300

whats the 9000? if its the 9300 you can customize it. the 9300 can be customized with a 2.0 ghz processor too. only difference is the bus speeds. but its not too big of a deal.

for 50 bucks extra, its worth going from hp. if you were gonna upgrade later it would end up costing around at least 100 bucks extra for those 2 things. Plus your probably going to get somwhat of a better warranty with it.
