hi im pretty new in this forum and i was wondering if this com can handle this graphic card. the only changes i ever done to it was upgrading to 4gb and window 7

do i really need to upgrade my power supply? this guy on another forum said:

the power supply should be ok. they say "450W minimum", but the actual power consumption is way lower. a core i7 extreme system with such a card draws less than 300W, nevermind your considerably lesser system.

I really wouldn't trust him on that. i7 extreme system taking less than 300W. I highly doubt that. Heck if it is a high powered machine there is probably a good video card with that and some of the higher powered ones can take over 200W by thenselves

The other problem with oem psu's is that they are not super reliable. It may say 450W but that is the max that it could handle not what it could supply continually.

thx for the explanation. if u dont mind, can u please recommend me a 1gb graphic card and a power supply that i can pick up at micro center/best buy for less than $200.

i just wanna have a better gaming experience. playing games on full settings like mw2 on a 23 inches with a 8400 gs is meh..

The 5750 will play in directx 11 but is not as powerful. The 4850 is still a great card. I have one and I still max everything but bfbc2 and crysis. Sorry these aren't from Microcenter or Best buy but I had trouble matching your budget from there.

do u think this can match up with ur recommend? i cant rly buy anything online so yea..

as for the power supply, which one of these would be the best to pick up?

sry for bothering and thx in advance xd

here is the rundown for those cards:

CODMW2_1920.png

still decent rates for the 4670 at 1920x1200

for the power supply the StealthXStream 2 400 Watt ATX Power Supply would be the only one in that list that I would trust.

no problem that is what I am here for

those red lines make me look nervous. is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Go with the Corsair I posted for you, extremely high quality psu, ability to run a GTX 460

Get a 4650 or 4670 if you dont wanna upgrade your psu. But anything over that ou gotta upgrade...

The 4670 is all you need for mw2 anyway, i had the card, maxed out cod4 with over 60fps. So the 4670 would be more than enough.

hey guys, i bought a new graphic card and now my power supply's power connector is too short to reach the graphic card.
i know that my graphic card uses a 4 pin molex, but idk what power connector to get. the graphic card got this

can i get ones that's similar to this?
