so RAID is almost pointless then, unless is RAID 1?
For most real tasks you won't notice the difference using RAID0, though the benchmarks will give you better results. For the additional price and the higher chance of failure and data loss, it's probably not worth it. RAID1 is useful if you want to make sure you don't lose any data, and there's really no performance benefit

ya thatswut i meant, for regular ppl raid 1 is the only real thing that can help us(for backups)
