G'day, instead of starting a new thread i'd thought i'd just post this here
I am having the same problem my computer keeps freezing up, it doesn't exactly turn itself off cos it still makes the humming sound. however, the screen just goes blank and i have to reboot. I thought this was due to over heating but now i'm convinced it not cos i might have my computer turned off for an hour then start it up and after 10 mins it freezes.
1. There are a few things that u should know, i recently changed my monitor from CRT 17" to an LCD 16" one. i dunno if it means anything but that exact night when i changed my monitor over it started like freezing.
2. All of my parts are less than a year old except the PSU (2nd hand) and the old and new monitor.
3. I am usually playing a game (warcraft) when it happens.
4. When it happens, like the screen goes blank sometimes the music from itunes keeps going and sometimes it just starts skipping.
5. When i get angry and press lots of buttons after it happens it usually starts going beep, like a really long beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.
