Comparing ds3's

DS3 rev 2 is great! If you mess up (even really bad) it always detected it when I OC. Set everything back to normal if something goes wrong. there are 3 words it goes by, :
Smart
Safe
Fast?

And the safe, is oh so true. Its almost n00b proof!

I didn't read the whole post but if it helps at all I have rev 2 and with the BIOS updates it is pretty much completely equal in function to the newer ones, meaning it supports the higher FSB and quad core cpu's. Hope this tidbit is new and helps, if not, I should start reading the whole thread. :-P

I dont much of anythign different from those two sites...
There is very little. The only difference should be the audio codec (ALC883 on the 1.3 and ALC888 on the 3.3)

So.. would that basically mean there is no reason to get the 3.3 over the 1.3 if you're going to buy a seperate sound card anyway?

What DS4 are you looking at? The 965P/G-DS4 supports DDr2-800. The DS4 model adds a firewire conenction on top of the same feature set of the same chipsets DS3 and it looks like it has a big heatpipe chipset heatsink.

Oh my bad, the only ds4's i saw were ddr2 800. ill look again.
would you link me to that one?
