Hi,
My computer is old (5 years) and in need of replacing
Current Specs:
Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 2.4 GHz
512 RAM
NVIDIA GeForce6600
40GB hard drive
Probably could add more in there but don’t know were to find the information from as I did not buy the computer or set it up.
In terms of budget I am pretty flexible however I do not want to spend for the sake of spending as my gaming is very limited to mouse only games with a bit of keyboards thrown in (see below).
What I need is a reliable computer for gaming (Football Manager series, Civilization series, Command & Conquer Series, Broken Sword Series, Warcraft Series (Not World of Warcraft though) and old schools games such as Doom, Theme Hospital, early C&C, early Warcraft etc.
I will be starting course work in the near future but I have already got Microsoft Office 2007 for that. Should I stay with XP Home Edition version 2002 or go to Vista?
I also have a requirement that I have over 20GB of music (and expanding) to put onto the new PC and would like the PC to double up as a decent sounding CD player if possible.
I would also like a new monitor as the big box is on its last legs.
I feel I will have to buy a PC rather build as I only have use of one hand.
Any suggestions welcome.
