Ok, well I decided one day that I would go into my case and do the much needed cable management thing. I moved everything around and got it all cleaned up and looking nice when i decided to see if my processor had enough thermal paste on it. It had a few dry spots so I added some more. I continued to turn on my computer to play some WoW, and my FPS was down below 20 consistently, when before I had gone into my case, it was consistently running over 50 FPS. I turned down all of the video settings to see if the FPS would go up, but it didn't, not at all. I went back into my computer case to make sure everything was gettting power, etc. then when i checked back on the thermal paste, it had spilled over the edges a little bit. I cleaned that up and went back into my game and nothing had changed. No paste got on any of the pins or anything, just drooled over the sides a little bit. I went on to use prime95 stress test and my processor failed within a minute. I do not have any idea why my processor would just stop working with the same efficiency as it used to. It runs, but not with the same performance it did. Everything is not overclocked, and I just don't know where to go from here. Any help or ideas would be appreciated.
