What is your problem with PC Eye? Every time you reply to anything he says it is insults, insults, insultsIgnore the entire previous post.
This isn't a SCSI drive, that will do absolutely nothingWhen you are installing Windows, you will see in the bottom left hand corner where it will say "Press F6 if you have a SCSI device" or something to that effect. Press F6. It will take a minute or two for something to happen, so be patient.
Insert what floppy disk? He doesn't have one. After a couple of minutes you will be prompted to insert the (floppy) disk and press a key. Windows will load the driver automatically and setup will continue.
One way right off the top is to copy or burn the drivers to the boot disk along with the essential boot files. A floppy is a little limited on space where a cd-r burned with the iso image for the OS(XP) you are running plus loading the drivers simultaneously would see this done. You would need a cd writer in order to create a custom boot cd. For the boot iso needed http://www.bootdisk.com
If you have a cd burner without the software BurnOn has worked well here and is a freeware found at http://www.burnworld.com/burnoncddvd/
Why are you using an IDE controller? Are your internal IDE ports filled? What you may need to do is install windows on an IDE drive attached to the motherboard, install the drivers for the IDE controller, and then transfer the drive onto the controller.

"Press F6 if you have a SCSI device" or something"
Gee? That idea didn't work so well with a SATA drive when using a drive floppy. The XP installer still failed to detect the drive while clearly seen in the post tests. Explain that one.![]()
What floppy? The drivers are on a CD.So make one. How hard can it be?
All he has to do is have that floppy ready and VOILA!! Problem solved.
You're as bad as PC Eye...
I'm surprised you don't know this stuff. You're supposed to be the tech.
Do you ever shut up about him?I don't think that the guy knows what he's talking about I'm afraid. Unless it's on Google, he's lost

The correct term would be Comprende, otherwise you are asking if you understand.I told him to "make a floppy". Comprendo?
