well b4 i was idling on 40C i pretty much just pushed my cables out of the way into the empty 5.25" bay space which brought my temp down to 38C then i got the 120mm(the one that can go 114cfm) and it idles as i said b4. just fluctuates at 34-37C. but the biggest improvement the fan gave me was it lowerd my HDD temp from 50C to 40C, the temp in my case when from 55-50C to 40C. then my video had no effect on anything i did. it still idles around 53C...Motoxrdude said:but it can... With my sempron 2300+ with stock heatsink i was running 45C idle, and 60C full load. I replaced the heatsink with a heatpipe heatsink. Check out newegg or soemthing for a better Heatsink. I would aslo suggest replacing the thermal compound. Other then that try and weed out your cables in your case and tuck away cables that you arent using in a place that it wont ubstruct airflow. I did this and now my case temps are 4C less.
?? like a slot fan? that would be useless as it would cancel out the GPU fan.Motoxrdude said:If you dont have one already, You could also get an exhaust fan. There pretty cheap, and cool a lot of dead air around your video card.
well there are only 2 empty slots below my card..and the last 2 is occupied by my soundcard and wireless card.Motoxrdude said:You could just move it a few slots down from your video card....
sweet, now i just have to check if there is enough space for 80mm..Motoxrdude said:I have heard u can use the same tubing you would use for the outake of a dryer(the thing that dries your clothes after you wash them). They are similar size to a regular 80MM fan. I have heard of people doing this before![]()
