Core 2 Duo and 8800GTS benchies

Struggle.....can't...go...on....--Wheezes a little--..Can't...get...fancy score like..him....GPU, failing....CPU, dead last week....Monitor, going black.....Good bye cruel world.....good bye... BOOM!!!

That was the life and death of a computer trying to compete with a fancy one.

The End.

Only 3.11Ghz? :P What voltage are you at?

*3.12 now :P

I can run it perfectly stable at the current speed of 3.12Ghz @ 1.400V, but if I try to go higher it wont boot. I'm sure I can raise the voltage some more, but temps are becoming an issue, so im trying to see what I can do to keep the temps low.

I also raised the FSB voltage to 1.5v, and the nForce SPP to 1.5v.

*Time for benching :P*

How much fruther on the FSB voltage? Stock cooling?

It was 1.4v stock, and 1.5v is the highest it can go.

I'm only using a freezer 7 pro for the CPU, the rest is stock.

And I got my new score, not as good as I hoped, but still good:

Is it your RAM that is holding you back? Or is it your particular E6300?

It's not the RAM, i'm guessing it's the CPU. Because I can set the memory to whatever I want, I could have the CPU at 3Ghz and the RAM at DDR2-533 if I wanted. And the motherboard has loads of options for overclocking, and an extremely high FSB.

The RAM is actually pretty good, I got it from DDR2-667 stock to DDR2-900. Now I just need to work on timings.
