If you're going to sell the whole PC, then I would try to sell it locally in one piece. I would only sell it in separate parts on ebay. I think you could possibly get more money selling the parts separately. Post around on forums and whatnot with your ebay link to get more people to viewing your items and more of a chance of a bid war on items. Just pay attention to those forum rules.

Why are you trying to get him/her to sell broken computer parts? That's flat irresponsible.

There are broken parts on ebay all the time. A computer tech could possibly use parts of a motherboard to get another board running. When you learn to de-solder and solder you would be happy to find a broken board for cheaper then a working board. Giving someone else a chance to repair their own items is not that irresponsible. As long as he posts that it is a non working item and used for parts it's OK.
