Cpuz readings keep jumping around

Ok so i downloaded cpu z and my core speed hops from 1516.94 MHz to 4659.17MHz..is it suppose to do that or is it suppose to be a fairly steady number?
The multiplier jumps from 7.0(7-21.5) to 21.5(7-21.5) if that matters

That's AMD's Cool and Quiet technology at work. It will drop the multiplier of your CPU when it's not using much load. Helps keep your computer more Cool and Quiet. :P Nothing to worry about. Intel has a similar technology too.

oh..ok cause i was fooling around trying to overclock my cpu and thought i ****ed it up...thank you...made my day lol

If you're gonna overclock, it's best to disable Cool N Quiet. I'd also disable the TurboCore (if available).

yes i did disable them...how do these settings look...whast the best way for me to stress test my settings?

Are these stats looking any good?

so are the workers the cores cause on my first run 3 cores stopped working then about 7 min in my screen froze :-( guess i gotta keep tweaking

Yes there is one worker per core. If three of them crashed that means it's unstable. Either bump up the voltage ever so slightly or lower the multiplier.

This is a good place for me to post my problem instead of making another thread.

My multi is also doing the same thing, and I have an Intel Core i5 3450 @ 3.7GHz

I've disabled Speedtest & C1E, and all other options, but my multi still jumps around all over the place, it drives me mad sometimes :(

Any ideas?

I don't personally know how to make it stop doing that but it's there to be helpful. If your CPU is being worked then it will bump it up automatically and drop it down when less processing power is needed. You don't need to be concerned about it really. Lower multipliers will be on when you're doing simple stuff like browsing the internet. Will bump it up once you launch a game or begin doing rendering. I wouldn't worry about it at all. This technology has been in use in both AMD and Intel chips for the last few years.

To OP, I had the same problem overclocking with workers quitting. Just bump up your voltage and make sure your temps are good. For that chip you'll want to stay under 60 at full load with Prime. I personally wouldn't push it past 55 or so but 62 is the official max temp for that chip.

GGGGRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!! my computer keeps shutting down!!!! this is making me angry...i been reading online bout people getting 4.5 out there 8350 without WC and i cant even do 4.3 without my computer shutting down AAARRRGGGHHHHH

Your motherboard and CPU would easily do 4.5GHz.
Try setting 1.45v and 4.4GHz. I would imagine that'd be stable on at least 80% of all FX-8350s.

I mean ive had it at 4.5...but when i run prime 95 it quickly overheats and or cores start failing, but mainly its been my computer completely shutting off, but i played Guild Wars 2 while it was at 4.5 on the highest settings and it was AWSOME!!!! I also did Bioshock Infinite at the setting right under the highest and it was smooth as ice...I ran the tomb Raider benchmark and it was beaitufuly done...just prime95 pissing me off

Well if you're running Prime95 and it's crashing, your overclock is far from stable.

Prime95 (and other stress tests) are used to ensure that at no point will your computer crash. Even though it might seem stable in games, at some point it's going to shut down in the middle of a game. You want to make it stress-test-stable.
