my god, i feel for you i really do, but sorry, there is NO way that you can download updates for a steam product without the use of steam itself, just the way it was made....... 26k, lol, :laugh:I tried but it is really big and an overnight update just updated about 5%...I have 26.4k dial-up speed.
It devastated me when I moved from North Carolina (had digital cable) to Arkansas (f**king 26k)...oh well, I am moving this summer, hopefully.my god, i feel for you i really do, but sorry, there is NO way that you can download updates for a steam product without the use of steam itself, just the way it was made....... 26k, lol,
I already thought of that but...I seriously doubt my facilitator would let me install half life 2 on the computer.... even if i snuck it in, its kinda hard to not notice someone with 5 CDs installing something on a pc. Also, the school server most likely blocks the steam server. If it was that easy, I would have tried it months ago.Well this is very easy to do... come on guys... Use your brains...
Just install it on a pc with a fast connection, download the entire thing so it is playable.. Then make the backup copy to hardrive feature (it is called seomthing like that) It make a zip file, which you the burn to a dvd or cd. Walla moveable update.
