Custom Build Gaming Machine [Feedback Please]

Hey guys. This is my first post here and I've been reading some posts and the replies seem to be helpful so I thought I'd give it a shot. I'm not very smart with computers but I'd say I know some basics. I'm looking to build a gaming machine for Starcraft II, I do realize this computer I'm about to post is overkill but that's fine with me. I want this to last a while.

Things I'll be doing with this computer: Streaming online, playing Starcraft II, ventrilo, skype, HoN and other games with lots of internet browsers open! I'm also looking to spend less then $1,000, so anything less is fine with me.

I don't believe I'm missing anything out. I would really appreciate all of your feedback. I do intend to spend a bit of money so I would like some opinions other then my own and my friends, thanks again guys. PS- I have the 120mm PC fans covered for the case.

the x58 motherboards run in tripple channel, in otherwords 3 sticks of ram

3x1gig 3x2gig etc etc (thats for optimal performance)

So basically, I should keep my 4GB of RAM and add antother 2 GB for the 3rd RAM slot? Thanks for the tip man 8-) anything else? I'm having a lot of doubt with my video card. I'd like to spend more then 100 but for the price, this is pretty boss from what I've researched.
 
well yeh you can do that, make sure its matching ram as it could make things difficult if they are different timings etc!

your psu look poor!

your rig seems to be a little un balanced, you have good componants mixed with poor quality stuff!

i know if it was me i wouldnt risk my componants with a sub par power supply

For your CPU cooling, this cooler will be much better: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...uniq_tower_120_extreme-_-35-154-011-_-Product although it is quite expensive.

If you will exchange the parts I have suggested it will be a good gamin PC. You could change your graphic card as well, but it all depends on your overall budget.

The ram is a package thing, like you said, so they're all matching. And the powersupply has good reviews. My only concern is, is 550W going to be enough? I think my friend said I wanted 600+ (I know very little about PSU's)

I was looking at the 5770 but a lot of the reviews are taking note of red lines that appear horizontally over the monitor after a month or two. So that issue kind of makes me a bit timid. My friend also was recommending the 5770 though.. I'll look up the 5670 right after this post.

I have a basic question. What is the difference between the RAM I linked in my original post (the ram of 3 sticks, 2 RAM each) and this:

The above link is almost $20.00 cheaper for the same RAM. Same amount of gigs, same company, the only difference is a heat sync physical change and the color of the ram (lol). I'm thinking about switching to this and save $20.00
