DDR3 gaming system help

So I was going to build one but I finally decided thats probably too much for me.

That being said I think I found some for pretty decent prices from ibuypower.com

http://www.ibuypower.com/DDR3/DDR3.asp

I was wondering which of the systems under $1500 you guys would suggest.
Also what would you change/add as they are fully customizable.

I wanted DDR3 so the system would have some longevity and alot of upgradability. I don't need the best system right now but it'll be nice to add this and that later on down the road. If you think DDR3 is a bad idea, feel free to tell me why. Gaming will be the most graphic intensive thing I will do but i do alot of multitasking.

If you think I can get a DDR3 system cheaper somewhere else, please suggest. Thanks for the help.

Haha ya I gave it some thought and building is probably too much work for me. I ran into a few snags and decided a pre build is prob the way I should go. What can I say I gave up easy.

i wouldn't buy one just now, nehalem is looming, and if you buy a current c2d or c2q that would technically be obsolite

I hadn't heard of the 'nehalem' till you mentioned it and I wiki'd it. How long would I have to wait for that and how much better would it really be. I'm sure it will be crazy priced. At least it says it supports DDR3 which is why I wanted to go with a DDR3 system.

Nehalems or Intel calls them Core i7 should have a release date of the end of the year or maybe the beginning of 2009.

The new technology is crazy though, triple channel DDR3 ram support. lol

Just a noob you really think it's worth waiting for one of these rather than just getting one of those systems I showed with a C2Q and upgrading later on. I mean I'm not wanting to blow the bank here like I said $1500 is my MAX at the moment. That and I don't want to wait all that long and I'm assuming they will be crazy expensive right when they come out.

Hey Intel Man where do you usually buy your computer hardware here in Van?

NCIX.

But newegg is coming to canada and they're opening soon but I currently buy my stuff at NCIX. They have retail stores in Vancouver so you can order online and pick them up at their shop.

the Nehalems run on a completely different socket so you can't just upgrade from a C2Q to a i7 by just buying a new CPU.

if you want to get it, i guess so, but you are going to be building your own, aren't you? you could probably save 100 dollars by building it yourself

I won't be building it.

So anybody have any suggestions on which of those rigs under $1400 I should get and what I should change?

I love my signature rig, but it goes into retirement as soon as Nehalem comes out. Rumors have it out either late this month or early next month. If you ca wait a few more weeks, THAT would be your best bet for a power system.

how much im thinking of throwing together a rig and currently planeed on the q9550.......worth the wait?

i would say around 350 after markup and whatnot for the 2.66ghz model($284 per 1000 units) then say another 400 for an x58 chipset then 350 for 6gb's of cheap ddr3 then whatever else you would put into the system, i would wait anyway, the prices on current things would most likely go down anyway
