ddr4?

Expect it to start showing up in stores sometime next year. Dual, triple channel should be gone, it will be point to point instead. Other changes are the usual stuff, more bandwidth, less voltage.

should be faster and such.

DDR4 itself is a DRAM interface specification. Its primary benefits compared to DDR3 include a higher range of clock frequencies and data transfer rates (2133–4266 MHz and MT/s compared to DDR3's 800–2133[1][2]) and significantly lower voltage (1.2 decreasing to 1.05 volts,[2] compared to 1.5 – 1.2 V for DDR3). DDR4 also anticipates a change in topology – it discards dual and triple channel approaches in favor of point-to-point where each channel in the memory controller is connected to a single module.[2][3] Switched memory banks are also an anticipated option for servers.[2]

so by what time do you think we can expect motherboards and such that are compatible with ddr4 to be out? with all the knew cpus and gpus coming out in the next year, should i just wait for some ddr4 aswell?

DDR4 is supposedly going to be released in 2012. It is your call if you wait, but you have to remember that even now an Intel Core 2 chip with DDR2 memory is more than capable of handling all real world tasks, so don't think that a Sandy Bridge/Ivy Bridge/Bulldozer chip + DDR3 memory is going to become suddenly useless as soon as DDR4 hits the shelves

Dont know about if it wil be 2015.

Zambezi/Sandybridge-e/Ivy Bridge will be DDR3 and since the memory controller is on the processor now, not the motherboard northbridge its not a simple swap out to support new memory.

My guess about processors supporting DDR4, would be no closer then 2013 at the earliest.

Dual and triple is not about point to point.

To get dual you need two channels. Now you can have more than one module per channel. That is going to change.
