Jesus that things huge. The Dell Adamo is an ultra thin ultra portable laptop, not a gaming behemoth.

Because he wants it to be portable? I don't see carrying about a 17"+ laptop to be appealing.

I am waiting to read just what you really think about this laptop, you yourself have never touched.

I am glad I had the chance at Best Buy to do some hands on messing with each of my laptops.
Also it was really nice to be able to quickly get a brand new system, when I felt one was not just right.:)

I have looked at some laptops at stores and there weren't many I liked :/ They opened a Microsoft Store here in Seattle and I got a chance to check that out. I considered the HP Envy but i decided to take a risk and try the Adamo :P

You don't have a Best Buy near you? Well you will soon know how well the Dell Adamo really preforms.:rolleyes: Lets hope it does as you want.:)
 
I think for what Sunnyside wants it for it should perform just fine. What people don't understand is that not every computer is used for gaming. My Asus netbook performs just fine for what I use it for, and the Adamo is definitely more powerful than a netbook. I think you'll be happy with it :)

I only asked about him having a Best Buy because he could try the laptops I don't know if they stock the Adamo. but it gave me a chance to do some real checking them out.
My best Buy Buy was set up wireless so I could download HWMonitor and check the CPU Temps. Along with windows task manager I could see how well the laptops were preforming. This was a big help to me.;)
 
Good luck with the Adamo! ;) I've seen one of those things before, and they're friggin awesome IIRC. As others have said, the laptop doesn't NEED to perform well. My current laptop is a Dell Latitude D410. ~5 years old at this point. I got it off of ebay a year or so ago for around $150. It was a great deal, and since my Core 2 Quad desktop is beast, I didn't need something that performed particularly well. :D I personally like Dells. The way I see it, the top two companies are HP and Sony, but when you get into the "normal" brands (ones that are mid-of-the-road) Dell is one of the best. I think they had a bad period from around 2006-2009, but they're getting better again. Same with Toshiba, except they started getting bad around '02 and got better a bit before Dell did, I think.

Scatch that, by latitude D410's hard drive just began to fail. :gun::angry:

I'm not even joking.

Taking a guess that my D410 was made right at the beginning of the bad streak. Luckily, your Adamo will have been made recently.

That does not sound like a good thing. Is it still working? Will you be replacing it?

haha that sucks dude. you can get a new harddrive i suppose... or u can buy a adamo ;)
