Here's an odd one for you guys. I'm starting to use my old Inspiron 1420 again. Basically I'm reviving it with a new battery, more RAM, new CPU, bigger HD, and a BD-ROM.
Here's the problem (which has been around for a while, just more prominent recently...) When I pick up the laptop, the BD-ROM ejects. It's something about how I press into the drive as it's lifted. Basically if you press on any part of the tray, eventually it will release/pop open.
I'm looking for a program or something to disable the eject button on this drive. If it were a standard DVD drive, I'd probably just rip it off. However, I'd kind of like to keep this bluray drive in good shape
I don't really care how the program works as long as I can somehow use the drive when I want.
I've tried one program but it wasn't compatible with Windows 7 x64. Most of the others are from sketchy sites/sources. Suggestions?
