They suck if you bury them in the rear USB port under a desk or something. If you can break them out on an extension they're not as horrific.Yea but USB adapters just suck. I hate them.
Keyword to take away from that is... "not as horrific". They're still horrific. However, some of the prices on the PCI-e Wireless AC adapters, you might as well buy a AC router and run it in bridge mode.

WiFi can easily get you several hundred megabits per second with a solid setup. Most home internet connections barely crack 100. If you know how to install a proper wireless network, it can be very reliable.Come on dude. This assumes that you have a wicked good WIFI card and router (and heck, you probably do) and that the other poster has a really crap wired connection.
Overall though, all things being equal, I'll take a wired connection any day of the week. Let's be realistic.
