do mobo include wifi and sound?

All (mainstream) motherboards have sound. Wifi is very uncommon, and isn't tied to the chipset, so it will depend on the particular motherboard.
 
Your better off getting a motherboard with the features you need, and get a add-in wifi card of your choice afterwards.

There are a ton of pci wifi cards from $15-$100+
 
Yea, onboard sound is pretty much bog standard nowadays.

Wifi however, very unlikely unless your motherboard model number has "WIFI" written on it. Depending on your needs, you may or may not need the top of the line wifi cards that cost $100+.
 
Keyword to take away from that is... "not as horrific". They're still horrific. However, some of the prices on the PCI-e Wireless AC adapters, you might as well buy a AC router and run it in bridge mode.
 
The Gigabyte Wi-Fi card I have seems to work pretty well and it's AC compatible (~$30):

I dunno, I can probably get more out of my wifi via one than your WAN connection ;)
 
I don't know about that man... the only USB adapter on wireless ac worth looking at is the Asus AC56.

But that thing's not even that cheap. PCI-E adapters are still the way to go.

Come on dude. This assumes that you have a wicked good WIFI card and router (and heck, you probably do) and that the other poster has a really crap wired connection.

Overall though, all things being equal, I'll take a wired connection any day of the week. Let's be realistic.

WiFi can easily get you several hundred megabits per second with a solid setup. Most home internet connections barely crack 100. If you know how to install a proper wireless network, it can be very reliable.
