It's never safe to run a PSU at close to it's maximum output long term.
Except for ATIs 2900 series and future cards which use an 8pin + 6pin PCI-E for a 300W maximum.well, there you go, video cards cannot ever take more then 225W
If it's the Purepower I strongly suspect it is, it's +12V@18A. If it's the TR2 it's +12V1@10A, +12V2@15A. Either way, insufficient for his system.You would still have to check the amps on the 12v rails, and make sure the PSU comes with the required connectors.
