I wanted an even 4.00GHz overclock of my i7 860, so I set my multiplier to x20(max x22). Then I made the base frequency 200. My RAM multiplier was x8 to amount to 1600(my max RAM speed).
I was wondering if there is any downside of setting the multiplier lower than the max. I only changed it to make it be an even overclock.
Also, was getting 66 degrees as a high after stressing the CPU a bit. Is this a good temp?
Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
