does my new board really need dual channel?

After looking at boards and getting multiple inputs from various forums, I have come to the conclusion that I might need to use this board:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130295

the only problem is that it does not have dual channel support listed in it's specs. do I really need that?

the reason I'm looking at this board is that it has an AMD chipset (to go with an athlon II quad core), it has a 2600mhz FSB, and it supports DDR3 memory. and I also like that it has 2 PS/2 ports. but I don't really need 4 memory slots, so if I could find another board just like this one, but with dual channel support and maybe another USB port, that would be ideal. any thoughts? are there any board manufacturers to avoid?? thanks again in advance!!

This is in neweggs overview section:Thanks to the dual channel, up to 16GB DDR3 memory support, onboard ATI Radeon HD 4250 video chipset, the SATA 3Gbps with RAID configuration and Gigabit Ethernet port, this board offers everything you need to build you power system. Plus, the military class components add unparalleled durability and reliability to this board.

It was hidden, the details didn't say anything about it, but looking at the board itself, I'm like this is dual channel, so y doesn't it tell the consumer this? It does it was just hidden a little bit!

And yes I would highly recommend you setting this up in dual channel, there are different ways that you can do this, you could buy two 4 gig sticks or bigger is so desired, but you need at least two to make it a dual channel (RAM) and look at the motherboard manual for the correct locations. Or you could buy 4 2 gig sticks (or whatever size you desire)and put them in and that way you can get a no brainer way of getting dual channel, it just depends on what kind of money you want to spend! You also need to be thoughtful of what kind of OS you are putting in, bc different OS require different sizes of ram, for example it is recommended (at least from what I remember) 3 gigs of RAM for Win 7 64 bit, or 2 gigs of ram for win 7 32 bit!
