Hmm, never tried safemode with a different HD. It may work. Im not sure bout the error, it seems like something physical is bad

EDIT: Swapped the hard drive with mine, still won't boot and it gives the same error code (telling me to check for viruses and run checkdisk etc).

That machine either has a bad driver or it has a boot sector virus. Try slaving the drive to another computer and scan it.

If that were the case wouldn't it work when i put in my hard drive and disconnect theirs completely?
 
You can't put your hard drive in it that has windows already installed as your hard drive is set up for your computer, not theirs. Your hard drive has all the wrong drivers installed for their system. Thats why you can't install windows on one machine and then transfer that drive to a different one.

Okay, makes sense. Problem is i can't slave it in my computer because there's is really old, anything else i could do?
 
I would assume your computer has an IDE slot for hard drives? If so then disconnect your cdrom drives and connect their hard drive and scan it. Most of the newer motherboard still have 1 IDE port.
 
And if your cd/dvd rom drive is sata and you don't have an IDE cable just take one out of an older desktop computer otherwise they are very cheaply acquired.
