Its not the speed so much, i and i did recognise the RAM requirement, but a DD3 board is somewhat future proofing (for the next what 4 years at least lol), and does have a larger bandwidth. I am just wondering, is it worth buying a 2 - 3 hundred dollar proc, or is it worth getting a new mobo, cpu and ram, and selling my other gear? I get your point though, thanks.... but hmmm.....
Oh btw, just as a side point, i just read that the Intel SSD hard drives will mean that the hard drive is no longer the bottle neck. In fact, they are so quick they max out the new 8 core nehalem cpu during a virus check - interesting i think. Anyway, back to the the topic...
