Alright this really bugs me not only because it is so unpredictable but because this computer is only a month old. I bought pretty decent components and my computer was running very nicely until about a week ago. I was just booting up my computer and it shutdown a couple seconds in but the lights on the computer stayed on (power indicator). I turned it off and on again and the fans didn't even start up. I turned the power switch to the power supply off and on and then it worked. A couple days later, it did the same thing. This is weird because there's no possible way it's overheating because I can have my computer running for hours on end and not have this problem. Yet sometimes, once after not using the computer for 2 days, I turned it on and the shutdown came right back...Any ideas on this? I'd hate for this to be a hardware problem and have to replace something but it's so erratic I don't know if it can be a software problem (especially since the reset is random when it hits, sometimes it hits before windows actually comes up and sometimes it hits when the XP user selection is there). Thanks for any help.
